Building Condition Surveys

Introduction
We recently completed a comprehensive survey and inspection project at the historic Old Shredded Wheat Factory in Welwyn, delivering a combination of high-precision terrestrial laser scanning, delivering measured building surveys and advanced close proximity drone inspections across multiple complex structures.

Scope of Works
Measured Survey & Drone Inspection
A full measured survey of the main production hall was undertaken, capturing accurate structural and dimensional data to support planning, refurbishment, and long-term asset management. This was enhanced with a detailed drone inspection, allowing safe and efficient assessment of high-level and otherwise inaccessible areas.

Our team extended coverage across the wider site, including silos, wheat elevators, boiler house, and surrounding structures. Each building was captured using high-accuracy laser scanning and measured survey techniques, producing detailed spatial data and reliable dimensional records. Drone imagery complemented the surveys by providing high-resolution visual inspection of elevated and complex areas.
